Meet Miss Minnesota International 2013

Charity Bess - Miss Minneapolis was crowned MISS  MINNESOTA 2013 on March 16, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where she met with 10 other County/City titleholder's from across the state that have been recognized for their professional and community involvement.


CHARITY BESS hopes to use the title to reach a larger audience by traveling the state of Minnesota promoting her platform, "Changing Lives through Girl Scouts Mentoring”. For 100 years, young girls from across the nation have come together to serve their community and discover skills that will secure them with a bright future. As a Girl Scout and mentor herself, Charity understands the power behind positive guidance. She believes it is her duty as a mentor to teach the values of courage, confidence, and character to all of her mentees. For more information go to


Charity is a Communications Specialist in the city of Brooklyn Park, as well as a student majoring in Journalism, and minoring in African American History.

Her hobbies include dancing, playing the flute, djing, video editing, reading, writing, acting, public speaking, improvisation, and American Sign Language.
